Went there couple of days ago, headed for the windsor tea for two – frankly speaking the sandwiches were nice, scones were acceptable but not as “fantastic”….the only thing that was a bit disappointing was the tea served in tea bag ( we ordered chamomile tea), hot water refilled with extra charges…i guess is the customer experience that i don;t see the point of charging extra $$ for hot water even though i value the fact that they didn;t charge for serv & govern tax…just a personal customer experience.

i love afternoon tea! first i`ve heard of annabelle`s though but will make it a point to check it out on my next visit home but so far people, the number one on my list will definitely be afternoon tea at the “author`s lounge” oriental hotel bangkok! it is to die for! just in case you guys plan to venture a little bit further up north, japan has this chain of tearoom cum store called “afternoon tea” which is realllllly niceeeeeee!

hmmmm seems like Victoria Rossa has quite a few supporters. thanks for your comments gerald & meiyi (who by the way are leaving comments from the same IP address).
Gerald, we may not know what traditional scones are supposed to taste like, but everyone is entitled to our own opinions, especially on something as subjective as taste.
nevertheless, will definitely try out Victoria Rossa the next time i’m in KL.

wa lao…i purposely drove up to Penang eat the whole set of afternoon tea and i found Malaysian dont know what is scone, i went so many places included smoke house cameron and cacosa and E&O tried they afternoon tea, and finally i found the best scone and butter cake and English tea in Malaysia is Victoria Rossa located in Pavilion KL, the most traditional taste from England, next time anyone who know nothing please dont simply give comment…

you must go to try..

Just went for afternoon tea yesterday. Their strawberry cake and scones are a true winner! Even their potato wedges were crunchy on the outside and tender in the inside. Simply perfect!
