Hard Rock Hotel Penang’s Starz Diner Seafood Buffet
A small chocolate fountain which definitely attracts the kids!
Each table is adorned with a small cute guitar!
I had originally thought that the Seafood Buffet was priced at RM78++ but upon the arrival of the bill, I realized that it’s actually RM108++ per person. We were then told that it’s the International Buffet on Friday night that is priced at RM78++
I really really wanted to like Starz Diner’s Seafood Buffet. And while they had some pretty delicious items and a decent spread, Hard Rock Hotel’s buffet hasn’t won me over on this particular visit. Sorry guys, you don’t really rock my world just yet!
Personally, I would like to see more variety and more value added into the buffet spread. Plus, we found that it was rather warm inside the diner. And actually very warm in the lobby too as it’s open air. Between the Diner, the lobby and the Rock Shop, the coolest place was the Rock Shop!
Hard Rock Hotel Penang is located at Batu Ferringhi Beach (ex-Casuarina Hotel), 11100 Penang.
Starz Diner currently offers Internation Buffet on Fridays at RM78++, Seafood Buffet on Saturdays at RM108++ Children between 4 and 12 eat at half price.

Hmmm.. kinda mediocre spread huh? The miso cod fish did catch my eye though! Maybe they serve it ala carte too?

Good write-up. The ambiance (do hope it has a nice lookout the sea) and I am sure there are some food I like! Will sure check out the newest addition to Penang tourist map.

hi chin! starz diner has an outdoor area (which i didnt really check out cos it was rather warm and i was too busy taking photos! lol)
but they’ve got a lovely swimming pool. if you want a nice lookout to the sea while you eat, i think the Pizzeria would be a better bet, in my opinion.

Well, i went there (starz diner) seafood buffet.
It was very bad for the service, food, environment ! Slipper lobster (cold) on ice were really having endless supply because it was totally not fresh. Grilled slipper lobster i only managed to get one (cut into two pieces) and they replaced ti with prawns.
The dinner outing in starz diner was really unhappy, and not satisfying. Sorry to say that but i really need to say they only selling their brand for Hard Rock Cafe not other outlets ! Really ridiculous.
