Chinese New Year Pineapple Tarts Recipe
The blogosphere seems to be abuzz with Pineapple tarts! What with Chinese New Year a mere 3 weeks away! In fact, Food4Tots was also making them almost the same time I was, so we launched into a long discussion about them, exchanging tips and stories.
My family and I love this delicious, addictive tart [...]

The Hokkien Mee Chronicles – Part 2 (Pulau Tikus Balai Hokkien Mee)
Apologies for my lack of updates and disappearance from the blogosphere of late. The past week and the coming few weeks would be a whirlwind of activity as I pack in work, a short work trip, being a bridesmaid, organizing a bridal shower, catching up with friends who’re back from overseas, taking some friends out [...]

The Hokkien Mee Chronicles – Part 1 (Super Hokkien Mee)
I read that Babe in the City is organizing a Mee and My Malaysia ‘open house’ this year in conjunction with Merdeka Day for food bloggers… but since I don’t really cook (prefer to bake) and I happen to be consuming a lot of Hokkien Mee lately, I thought I’d do the next best thing.

Uncle John’s Balik Pulau Durians
It would seem like going to Uncle John’s durian farm in Balik Pulau is getting to be a yearly affair since I was first introduced to this place last year. And so this year, about 20 of us durian lovers made our way again to Balik Pulau for another round of RM12 durian buffet!

Breakfast @ Pulau Tikus
One of my favourite places to go to for Sunday morning breakfast is Pulau Tikus market area. Traffic and parking around that area can be quite a bit of a hassle since this area is usually jammed packed in the mornings. But every once in a while, I do not mind braving the marketing crowd, [...]

Tua Pui Curry Mee & O Kio @ Weld Quay
One of my favourite Curry Mee stalls in Penang is located along Weld Quay just outside the stall owner’s house. If you are travelling with the jetty on your left, Tua Pui (hokkien for ‘fat’) Curry Mee stall is further down from the jetty, after the Shell station, on the opposite side of the road.
There [...]
